Summer Internship


Since 1995, SJT's summer internship program has been introducing student interns to the dynamics and operations of a non-profit arts organization, offering the practical work experience required to balance artistic and administrative excellence. Interns will have the opportunity to learn about SJT's mission while being assigned to various projects. The positions are full-time (Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week), and include a small stipend. Housing and transportation are not provided.

Intern Activities

  • Marketing and production planning
  • Assisting in general administrative office work 
  • Researching and archiving taiko resource materials 
  • Other duties as time and experience allows

Eligibility

To qualify, you must be a currently enrolled college student. Previous taiko experience is preferred but not necessary. Working knowledge of Apple computers is helpful.

We are accepting applications for up to 2 interns.

Honorarium

$800 for a 4-week internship. Exact dates to be determined by intern and SJT availability.

April 15, 2010. Notification of acceptance will occur May 1.
